Leh-Ladakh Bike Tour - Riding Through the Roof of the World
A motorcycle tour through Leh-Ladakh is the adventure of a lifetime. Here's what to expect: routes, best season, permits, and tips for riding on the world's highest motorable roads.
Leh-Ladakh, often called the "Land of High Passes," is a biker's paradise. Khardung La (5,359m), Umling La (5,798m), and numerous other passes offer riding experiences unlike anywhere else on earth.
The classic Manali–Leh Highway opens June–September. The Srinagar–Leh route is another option. Our 12-day Leh-Ladakh Bike Expedition covers Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, Tso Moriri, and key passes with support vehicles and experienced ride leaders.
Acclimatization is crucial. We spend 2 days in Leh before riding to avoid altitude sickness. Permits for restricted areas (Nubra, Pangong, Tso Moriri) are arranged by us. You focus on the ride.
Ride your own bike or rent in Leh. Royal Enfield Himalayan and Classic 350 are popular. Bring riding gear: helmet, jacket, gloves, and proper boots. The weather can change quickly—layer up.
Best months: June to September. July–August see the most riders but also the best weather. September offers clearer skies and fewer crowds. Ready for the ride of your life? Our guided bike tours handle logistics so you can soak in every kilometre.
